Institutional policy in action

EOS Board member Tom Cochrane has made available an account of his Open Access policy implementation at QUT and its effects on research in that university. The paper is developed from his presentation at the OAI6 conference in Geneva in June 2009, and gives an account of the introduction of an Open Access policy at QUT, what institutional support has been provided for the policy, how researchers have responded and how the university is now seeing real benefits for its research programmes as a result.
